Chocolate making workshop…

Mitchells Grievson Team achieved their quarterly objectives for the last quarter of 2022 and were rewarded with a day out of the office for team building. Previous recent team building days have included: axe throwing, pasta making, escape rooms and a day at the races. 

This time we decided on a Chocolate making workshop at La Chocolatrice in Coxhoe which promised to be a fun-packed introduction to the art of chocolate making with tasting, demonstrations, decorating, fresh truffles, flakes, crisps and more… and it really did deliver!

Sarah and Helen took part in a flake off! To create the flakes, they spread the chocolate thin on a cold marble worktop, rolled it, then it was a competition to scrape the chocolate off the worktop the quickest. The judges couldn't call the winner as it was extremely close, so a draw was announced. Everyone went away with some truffles made by the team, and most purchased some more chocolates as they were that nice.

Mitchells Grievson Associate, Claire Wilson FCA said: “It was a great day, and everyone really enjoyed it. The chocolate was lovely and surprisingly quite easy to make. My personal favourite was the mint chocolate crisp which was like an After Eight and was delicious.”
