Mitchell's Grievson Chartered Accountants Enjoy a Day of Fun, Food, and Fine Wine
Last Friday, the Mitchell's Grievson team took a well-earned break from the office to enjoy a fun-filled team building day in Darlington.
The day began with a brain-busting challenge at Cluedini, Darlington's escape room venue, where staff were split into teams to tackle a series of intricate puzzles. After an hour of laughs, logic and teamwork, the triumphant team — John Wayne's Posse, featuring James, Sylvia P, Andrew, Jayne and Sammy — emerged victorious with a swift escape time of 50 minutes and 22 seconds. Close behind were The Pink Panthers — Claire W, Claire G, Helen, Lesley and Vera — who also gave a strong showing. Team Cleopatra consisting of two Charlotte's, Rachel, Sol, Sylwia W and Amanda were in third place escaping with 4 minutes in hand. Rachel was quick to remind everyone that the Anubis room was the hardest room with only 20% of teams escaping.
After the morning's mental workout, the team headed to Tai Pan Asia for a delicious two-course lunch, followed by a wine tasting experience at Vesuvio, hosted by Italian wine expert Andrea. The group learned about various wines and tasting techniques, with James taking a particular interest — earning himself the unofficial title of “resident wine connoisseur”.
